ABOUT BIOBANK
A specialized biobank for the storage of samples of tumors of the central nervous system in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Biobank aims to develop personalized and translational medicine. The development of translational medicine will allow for the operational transfer of the results of fundamental research (mainly in the field of molecular cytogenetics and biochemistry) into clinical practice.
Program objectives:
Automation of immunohistochemical studies and molecular genetic tumors of the central nervous system.
Introduction of digital technologies to improve the procedure for examining histological materials.
Development of an improved depersonalized database of clinical, pathohistological, molecular genetic, neuroimaging data of neurosurgical patients who have agreed to store their biological samples and data in the biobank.
